I'm an Aussie living in Berlin, here for family and adventure. I grew up riding horses, motorbikes, and even wrangling the odd snake.

Over the last 10 to 15 years I've worn a lot of hats: I ran my own web design business, managed a café, bar and events team of 25, earned a degree in IT and worked as a systems administrator and engineer. It's been a mix of chaos and craft, but it taught me talk to people and understand their problems.

I fell headfirst into UX back when the web was ditching clunky table layouts for actual design; when responsive design, design systems and user research reshaped the web. For me it was a lightbulb moment: finally we could design for people, not just browsers.

I've recently been working at the higher end of UX strategy and research, but I still love to roll my sleevs up, push pixels and build (like this site you're reading now).
